Face-to-face Asbestos Training Services

Managing the risks of asbestos is not just a legal obligation, it’s a practical necessity in workplaces where disturbance of asbestos-containing materials is even a remote possibility. Whether you’re on the tools, managing a team, or overseeing large-scale refurbishments, having the right knowledge can make all the difference.

Our asbestos training courses are built around real-world experience, tailored to suit the needs of each group, and delivered with clarity, honesty, and relevance. We don’t overload delegates with jargon, we teach what matters, so it sticks.

All courses meet UKATA guidelines and can be adjusted to suit your company’s policies or specific site conditions.

Meet the Trainers

With nearly 40 years in training, 20 of those in health and safety, Steve brings deep, practical experience to every course. He’s been specialising in asbestos since 2002, holding the P402 Asbestos Surveying and P405 Managing Asbestos in Buildings qualifications from the British Occupational Hygiene Society, alongside further training in IOSH risk management and CDM 2015 regulations.

Steve’s courses are never off-the-shelf. He plans sessions to reflect the roles, risks, and realities of the people in the room. He’s delivered training to national companies, local authorities, and small private firms alike, always keeping the content relevant, clear, and engaging.

While the courses include visual presentations, the real strength lies in discussion, examples, and practical involvement, so delegates leave remembering what matters. As Steve says: “It’s not how much you cram in, it’s how much they take away.”

Bainbridge Asbestos operates in line with UKATA guidelines, ensuring high standards across all training delivery.

Nile Ateem

Nile entered the asbestos industry in 2018, training under Steve to develop a strong foundation in asbestos surveying, materials, legislation, and training delivery. He achieved his P402 Asbestos Surveyors qualification in 2019, alongside IOSH Management training and qualifications covering CDM regulations.

Since then, Nile has built a broad range of experience as an Asbestos Awareness and Non-Licensed trainer, combining technical knowledge with a natural ability to engage his audience. His approach is modern and accessible, ensuring that even those who attend asbestos training regularly find the sessions fresh, relevant, and worthwhile.

Nile places a strong emphasis on staying current, keeping up with the latest industry developments, research, and news to ensure his training reflects today’s risks and best practices. This helps delegates connect the material to real-world situations and reinforces its importance.

Before entering the industry, Nile worked as a professional photographer, and he continues to use those skills in volunteer roles supporting asbestos-related charities, alongside his training work.
