DTM01 - Duty To Manage Asbestos Training

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for managers, supervisors, and anyone who has a hand in planning or overseeing maintenance, refurbishment, or construction projects, especially those responsible for making sure their organisation meets its legal obligations around asbestos.

It’s suitable for people directly involved in project planning, as well as those who need to understand the risks and responsibilities that come with managing buildings where asbestos may be present.

Group size is capped at 12 people per session to keep the sessions focused and allow for proper discussion.

What the Course Covers

This training is intended to help delegates:

Understand the health risks linked to asbestos exposure
Recognise how to protect themselves, their teams, and others in the building
Know when work can be handled in-house and when a licensed contractor is needed
Learn how to manage asbestos-related issues as part of day-to-day planning and decision-making

Unlike awareness training, this course looks at asbestos from a management perspective, focusing on planning, compliance, and practical responsibility.

At the end of the course, each participant receives a Certificate of Attendance.

About The Instructor

Your session will be led by a qualified Asbestos Surveyor with fifteen years’ experience delivering asbestos management training. They are a registered member of the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) and have worked with a range of businesses and public sector bodies.
